 he BetaSpace project
is a graduate thesis project for the Multimedia
Graduate Program at California State University, Hayward. BetaSpace is
an online community for artists to display, view and collaboratively
create works of new media art. The project was conceived to encourage
individuals and groups of artists to participate in a creative,
interactive, and collaborative online art space, which has become
a rarity on the Web at the present time, considering the medium's
overwhelming focus on informational or commercial interests.
It is the hope of the BetaSpace project
to encourage more personal and artistic expression in this powerful,
dynamic, and highly influential medium.
